Undergraduate calculator
Use the calculator below to determine the per-semester undergraduate cost of attending Virginia Commonwealth University. The calculator provides an estimate of expenses and may not reflect the complete cost of tuition, fees and other charges.
New undergraduate students should add the $225 First Year Transition Fee to their estimate of charges for their first semester. New undergraduate transfer students should add the $150 Transfer Transition Fee to their estimate of charges for their first semester.
Cost of Attendance
Cost of attendance is an estimate of educational expenses used to determine financial aid eligibility. The COA includes an estimate of both direct costs (charges billed by VCU) and indirect costs (other costs not billed by VCU).
The COA does not represent the actual amount billed by VCU. The tuition and fees calculator provides a better estimate of the semester costs billed by VCU.
